Just Keep Fishing

So I’ll have about six more days of members.  Goal: 85 fishing.  It seems quite probable, considering I’m 38k away from 83 atm.  However I get about only 60k exp max on weekdays since I don’t go online a lot.  If I can get 150k exp today, I should be okay to go for 85 for the rest of the week, but eh who knows.  It still takes me about 5 minutes to get one inventory of lobsters. D:

Runescape Cheating

So I was browsing through my bookmarks today and I came across a link to this article which I had read awhile ago.  It’s called Runescape’s Cheating Scene: Welcome to the Dark Side and is written by ThirdEyeOpen on The Runescape Blog.  Basically it describes the life of an RS gold seller and the feelings and problems throughout their life cheating in RS.  It’s a very intriguing article in my opinion, as it really opens up peoples’ eyes to what really happens behind the scenes in gold selling.

RS Life

I’ve had members for about a week now, although I still have 28 days left somehow.  Strange.

I’ve pretty much been fishing for my 99 race with Rune Beast =D I’m winning lol.  He’s fletching, I’m fishing, all fun stuff.  Knowing us we’ll probably both quit at around 75 or something.  Oh well, at least we tried xD  Otherwise my fletching is 12, my agility is 8, and my farming is 7.  I’ve gotten about 53 thieving exp as well.  Yes, I’m failing.  I did go from 68-70 fishing though and I’m around 30k from 71.  I’ve done two easy quests and filled up a few bank slots with useless items.  It’s fun being a member – I’ve randomly stumbled upon a couple BNB people on world 132. I should probably do more quests and get my magic/crafting/smithing up to do Swan Song for Monkfishes…but I’m too lazy.  The lobbies and fish from barbarian harpooning are bringing in some nice income for me.

I love the Fishing Guild.  I don’t think I’ll fish in F2P ever again.

Omfg @ Runescape

Holy MOTHERFUDGERS.  So the most amazing person ever named Dan got me membership (not Rune Beast0, in case you were wondering, and not the other BNB Dan either).  The full-screen version and the new graphics have left me immensely stunned.  It’s just….AHHHH.  I feel about 20 article ideas coming on for the Informer now.  TO MICROSOFT WORD AND AWAY!!  I shall elaborate on my feelings about the new graphics more tomorrow in a more detailed post.

Note to self: Never look forward to a Runescape Update

Well, what else can I say?  I went around the new Stronghold of Player Safety today and yesterday (today more thoroughly).  I must say, I thought it was decent yesterday but after a second look, it really isn’t that good.

The actual reward you get from completing a “test” is 1k exp in a skill (or 500 each in two skills), new gloves with stat boosts less than d-vambs, 10k, and access to a new training area.  The 1k exp is okay but 10k is useless and the gloves don’t look that good (plus the stat boosts aren’t that amazing).  Now the training area would be okay if it wasn’t freaking multi-combat.  There are about 2-4 people per every level 83 Cockroach Warrior (or whatever they’re called), even on the least crowded worlds.  The other monsters, easy level 56 ones and puny level 8 ones, aren’t as crowded but who can train from them?  If Jagex intended for this to be an actual training area, making it multi-combat was a bad, bad idea.  The Security Stronghold is so much better because it has many more monsters, even if it is multi as well (is it?  I can’t remember too well).  I’m hoping the crowds will die down, but since the Cockroach Warriors drop rune, I highly doubt that. 

Then again, I never really have looked forward to F2P updates.  They’re usually crap anyway (save the GE).

RS Xmas Event

I did the Christmas event yesterday and to be frank I was a little disappointed with it.  Basically you need to gather snowballs from snow piles around Runescape and make a snowman.  It got a bit annoying after awhile because you need 10 snowballs (I think) to make each part of the snowman (bottom, body, and head), so it was a lot of clicking.  Talk with a snow imp to get a snowman hat/weapon to finish off your snowman.  After you make a snowman you go to Draynor and talk with a snow imp who will then teleport you to the Land of Snow.  You can talk to the Queen of Snow there and she will give you a snow globe that will fill your inventory with snowballs.  Along with using snowballs to make snowmen you can throw them at people (however it doesn’t affect them in any way).  I was really hoping for some sort of wearable item instead of a snow globe.  The snowball idea is nice because a lot of people were hoping for that last year but snowman-making is a little tedious and the item isn’t very good.

I finally went to go look at the Dueling Arena.  My win/loss is about half and half.  Here’s some win pics.  Btw I’m level 71.

This was really unexpected.  I got lucky because he only had salmon.  Took out a good chunck of my food though.

Gave up with 2-4 hp left.  Gr.

Well this time he didn’t give up.

I like it, but I wish you could stake more than 3k >.<

More Irks and the BNB Event

Lets start off with more irks I had.

WTF?! There’s a LITTLE less than half my upper body showing when I wear a chainbody now. What is this? Wouldn’t Jagex think that armor is supposed to cover and protect the ENTIRE upper body, since that’s what it’s MADE for? Now there’s a whole section vulnerable to horny Runescape boys. This is madness.

If Jagex starts making the platebodies end a little higher I might just have to find out where they are and strangle Andrew Gower. Seriously though, the only thing that chainbody covers is the chest area >.<
